Hard to believe you wouldn’t have to have an attitude indicator @ night
You would. These are the additional required instruments on top of “ATOMATOFLAMES”.
Attitude indicator is not required for VFR day or night.
it literally says, “in addition to VFR” which already has attitude indicator as a required instrument.
Attitude indicator is not part of the ATOMATOFLAMES or FLAPS list.
Even though the Attitude indicator is part of the standard 6 pack, it’s not required for VFR day or night. Only required for IFR.
You do NOT have to have attitude indicator at night, although I personally won’t fly at night without one. It is not part of the required instrumentation for day or night VFR. The above list is for IFR (for which day or night doesn’t matter obviously as you have obscured vision outside either way by definition). Attitude indicator is required for IFR only.
The reason it says “in addition to those required by VFR night” above, is because you have to have all the required VFR night items, plus the above list for IFR flight.
Oh my gosh
Good
