Significant Meteorological Information
An in-flight advisory of weather significant to all aircraft: severe icing, severe or extreme turbulence, dust or sandstorms lowering visibility below 3 miles, and volcanic ash. Convective SIGMETs cover thunderstorm-related hazards.
