Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM)

ADM

A systematic approach to the mental process used by pilots to consistently determine the best course of action in response to a given set of circumstances. ADM builds on three related skill sets: risk management (identifying and mitigating hazards, e.g. with PAVE), situational awareness, and single-pilot resource management (SRM). The DECIDE model gives it a repeatable structure, and the five hazardous attitudes describe the mindsets that most often defeat it.
