Plan Continuation Bias

The tendency to continue with an original plan — usually reaching a destination on schedule — despite mounting evidence that doing so is unsafe. It appears in the External pressures element of the PAVE checklist and is one of the most frequently cited factors in weather-related general aviation accidents.
