61.57(a) and (b)
To carry passengers a pilot must have made, within the preceding 90 days, three takeoffs and three landings as sole manipulator of the controls in an aircraft of the same category, class and (if type-rated) type. For night passenger carriage — between one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise — those landings must be to a full stop. In a tailwheel airplane, all landings must be to a full stop regardless of time of day.
